SPOT-CE™

Description

SPOT-CE™ is a 'Secure Parallel Optical Transceiver - Card Edge' that features a rugged low-profile design, an electrically pluggable interface with a separable MT-T™. This pluggable transceiver is a 4Tx/4Rx parallel 850nm VCSEL and PIN based device. It uses an industry standard ruggedized electrical QSFP card-edge connector. This part has superior optical performance vs. industry standard. A key element of the SPOT-CE is the MT-T which provides a separable and secure means of holding the MT ferrule in place in rugged operating environments. An innovative system called the FDS™ (Ferrule Detection Sensor) indicates whether the MT ferrule is connected. SPOT-CE is designed for Card Edge applications.
