SPOT-CE™

Description

SPOT-CE™ is a Secure Parallel Optical Transceiver that’s engineered for Card-Edge applications. It features a rugged low-profile design, and an electrically pluggable interface with a separable MT-T™. The MT-T is a key element of the SPOT-CE which provides a separable and secure means of holding the MT ferrule in place in rugged operating environments. SPOT-CE uses an industry standard ruggedized electrical QSFP card-edge connector. SPOT-CE has 4TX and 4RX optical channels operating at 850nm (VCSEL/ PIN) and includes an optional EMI shield around the optical receptacle. This transceiver requires no special installation tools, and features a separable fiber interface, via the MT-T. The card edge design eliminates the need for a fiber jumper from the transceiver to the wall of the box. For applications using pluggable technology such as QSFP,  SPOT-CE offers a ruggedized alternative at 1/3 the length and weight.
