Building upon years of experience in design, developing and manufacturing ruggedized fiber optic cables for the military and aerospace markets, Moog has expanded its high-volume manufacturing capabilities of high-density fiber optic termini and connectors.
The ‘MT’ or Mechanically Transfer ferrule is an industry standard multi-fiber fiber optic interface that is used in Telecomm and Datacomm markets. Moog utilizes qualified manufacturers of D38999 connectors and ribbon fibers for its MT cable assemblies along with a full suite of in-house testing capabilities. Discrete channel, High Density MT, or multiple ferrule configurations are utilized to support customer defined routing and channel mapping, and connector potting and environmental sealing capabilities are present. Additional MT ferrule-based cable assembly capabilities include:
- Creation of fiber assemblies for Mil/Aero use with In-house design and manufacturing capabilities
- Test Sets and Testing Labs on sight at Moog Facility
- Field Deployment and Support
- Custom Signal Routing
- Mil/Aero or customer defined testing
- Mil/Aero or customer defined labelling
- Bare or jacketed fiber types in flat or round ribbon configurations with multiple vendor options
- Single or multi-channel jumpers with optical multiplexors and/or optical splitters
- Discrete Channel Breakouts
