Moog has added features and products to its rugged pluggable optical transceivers for Military and Aerospace OEMs integrating high-speed COTS Network OEM Switches to enable them to operate effectively in harsh environments.
USA designed and manufactured SFP+ transceivers operating on multimode and singlemode cable at speeds from 1 to 10 Gbps are now available. These very high-quality MSA compliant products feature robust all metal cases and have firmware that is built and controlled by Moog in the USA and Western Europe.

- Wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with wider ranges available

- Support for emerging Ethernet protocols such as deterministic networking (TSN) and automotive (IEEE 802.3cz – 10GBASE-AU)

Moog has also expanded its RCP (Rugged Chip Scale Pluggable) platform to include a singlemode option. Now operating at 1310nm or CWDM4 wavelengths, the same mechanicals are used offering MM or SM support from the same electrical interface. Four optical channels are available for Tx, Rx, or dual duplex versions using the industry standard ARINC 801 terminus and supporting Moog’s Lightly tool-less ARINC 801.
